The Great Gatsby

There's something about reading classic novels that makes me thankful that I know how to read, and I could understand stories, and that I have the money and time to read books. Classics just make me feel thankful that I am alive and breathing and is able to enjoy books and the greatness that is the language of love and life. I just feel so blessed when I encounter great classics.

My English teacher made us read The Great Gatsby just recently and made us write an essay about it. I read it one Saturday not because I was cramming but because I couldn't put it down. It's just that good. It's really one of the best Classics I've ever read. There's just so many beautiful things about The Great Gatsby that other novels have yet to capture. for almost a century it's making people fall in love with beautiful prose over and over again. I kind of hate myself for not reading it earlier in my life.

I really recommend The Great Gatsby to anyone who can read. It's pretty easy to understand for a Classic. Classics usually give me a headache but not this one. It's just pure loveliness converted into a timeless novel. Also, it's not really a love story. I'll say no more for I might say something out of line but really, it's more than just a love story. It's merely a tragic story a great man. I think anyone can relate to Gatsby. He's just so relatable.

Well, I don't know what else to say. I pretty much said everything in my paper already.
